I'm going to check out that DailyPlate.com -I'm actually starting on the Smart 4 Life plan Tuesday . . . we shall see. It would be my ultimate GOAL to do a 10 minute mile for over 5 miles. A year ago I couldn't run for 2 minutes. My goal is to run the marathon and stay ahead of the trucks that pick you up if you drop below the 6 hours and 30 minutes cutoff time. Having a pulse at the end would be nice, too.

Just out of curiousity...have you been losing any weight while you've been training? Just wondering because both my husband and I pretty much stopped losing once we started the marathon training.....but we still look better so I guess that's okay. I'm starting back in a full commitment to Weight Watchers Online again tomorrow after about a month off (but I didn't eat junk during that month). The long runs make me so hungry that I've got to keep track of what I'm eating again so I don't go overboard.

Sorry about the lengthy caffeine-induced comment.Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17954113354700861915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9182376760433111623.post-70695033508239113472008-08-07T11:06:00.000-07:002008-08-07T11:06:00.000-07:0010 minute pace. There are those who think that even 10 minute miles are "slow." Give me a break! We all run at our own pace. You're out there, you're doing it, and that's what is important. I am never going to be a speed demon, either, I just enjoy getting out there, getting more fit, and knowing I can accomplish some goals. Look how far you have come already.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9182376760433111623.post-21170024046487666812008-08-05T17:27:00.000-07:002008-08-05T17:27:00.000-07:00I agree - a 10 min mile isn't on the lower end of ...I agree - a 10 min mile isn't on the lower end of my spectrum! Thats crazy. Last year, my long runs were averaging 12-13 min miles. This year, I'm around 10.30 - 11.00, so stick with it, do what you can and remember, you're doing more than the next guy who is sitting watching tv!Karinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02280418446825733288noreply@blogger.com
